Cooking Time: 20 mins
Ingredients (for two)
Basmati Rice - 1 cup
Beans - 100 gms
Carrot - 1 (big)
Potato - 1 (big)
Peas - 100 gms
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cardamom - 3
Jeera - 1/4 tbsp
Bay leaf - 1
Salt to taste
Preparation
- Cut beans, carrot and potato thin and long
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add jeera, bay leaf and cardamom
- Add the cut vegetables, peas and saute for 1 min
- Add the washed basmati rice
- Add salt and 2 1/2 cups of water. Stir again
- Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Turn off the heat and set aside to cool
- Serve hot with raita or any spicy curry

Gayu looked up ur blog...veg fried rice doesnt say when to add the i cup basmati rice...pls add when to put rice in cooker.

@ Anu - No spice required. Tastes YUMM with the flavor of ghee itself! :)
Another tip you might like from my own experiments of today. I added a pinch of rosemary, thyme, basil, marjoram, crushed mint, from my spice rack. The aroma was too awesome!! the flavour superb. Tasted so good that madhu was denied any rice today for lunch, a follow up of the aloo tikki of thursday. Poor Guy !!!
